About this project
A picture book — written and illustrated by the student
Sari and the Thinking Box follows a girl who finds a machine that answers her questions — but not always correctly. It is a playful first look at how AI can sound completely sure and still be wrong, with every word and every picture directed by the child.
What your child practises
Story structure
Shaping a clear beginning, middle and end.
Writing & voice
Turning plain sentences into dialogue and mood.
Directing AI art
Prompting an illustrator and keeping characters consistent.
Editing & judgement
Deciding what to keep, redo or cut.
The child leads. AI assists.
The child writes every word and directs every illustration. The AI is the paintbrush, not the author — it never decides what happens in the story.
Your child could make something like this.
Every KURAI student builds real projects like this — and watches their work grow.
