Real-Life Problem

1. What Is the Problem? 🤔

Rescue and search teams can have difficulty finding people quickly during floods, earthquakes, fires, and other emergencies. People may be trapped, injured, or in hard-to-reach places, while rescuers face dangerous conditions and limited time.

2. Where Does It Happen? 📍

It can happen in disaster areas, such as:

  • 🌊 Flooded streets and buildings
  • 🏔️ Mountains and forests
  • 🏚️ Collapsed buildings
  • 🔥 Areas affected by fires
  • 🌪️ Places damaged by storms or earthquakes

3. Who or What Is Affected? 👥

People of all ages can be affected — including children, elderly people, and those who are injured or unable to move. Animals can also be trapped and in need of rescue during disasters. 🐶🐱

🚨 Did You Know?

During a disaster, every minute counts. Traditional rescue methods can be slow and dangerous for rescuers too. That is why we need faster, smarter solutions — like rescue drones!

Our Solution

1. Our Drone 🚁

Use a search-and-rescue drone to quickly search large or dangerous areas and help rescuers find people faster.

2. What Does It Do? ✨

  • 🚁 Flies over disaster areas
  • 🔍 Searches for people who need help
  • 📷 Uses a camera to see hard-to-reach places
  • 📍 Sends the person's location to rescue teams
  • 🚨 Helps rescuers reach people faster

3. How Does It Work? ⚙️

  1. 1🚁 The drone flies over the disaster area
  2. 2📷 Its camera scans the area for people
  3. 3🤖 AI helps identify people who may need rescue
  4. 4📍 The drone sends their location to the rescue team
  5. 5🚑 Rescuers use the location to reach them quickly

🎯 Our Goal

Alex can reach disaster zones in minutes and scan large areas that would take rescue teams hours to search on foot — making rescue operations faster and safer for everyone!

My Drone

Here are the key parts of Alex and what they do!

Real Part

Camera

Takes pictures and videos to help the drone spot people in danger. The camera can see clearly from high up in the sky and zoom into hard-to-reach places to find survivors quickly.

Real Part

Sensor

Detects movement, heat, or objects around the drone so it can find people and avoid obstacles. The sensor helps Alex navigate safely through dangerous areas without crashing.

How It Helps

1. How Does the Drone Help?

The rescue drone searches dangerous areas and helps rescuers find people who need help. It can reach places that may be unsafe for humans.

2. How Does the Invented Feature Help?

The AI Rescue Scanner uses the drone's camera and sensors to detect people and send their location to rescue teams quickly.

3. Why Is Our Drone Useful?

Our drone is useful because it can search faster, reach dangerous places, and help rescue teams save people more safely.

How he made it

  • Camera
  • Sensor
  1. Picked a problem worth solving

finding people lost in mountains and disaster zones, where rescue teams lose hours on foot

  2. Specified the machine, part by part

Every part justified by its job — then he invented the AI Rescue Scanner.

  3. Had AI draw it, then built the site

Pictured with ChatGPT, written and built by him.

In the workshop, Anas picked a real problem — search and rescue — invented a drone to solve it, then designed and published this website to explain how it works.
