Section 02

Real-Life
Problem

What Is the Problem?

Oceans and wildlife are becoming unsafe because of pollution, human activities, and climate change, causing many animals to lose their habitats and food.

Where Does It Happen?

In the ocean.

Who or What Is Affected?

Ocean animals, coral reefs, seabirds, marine ecosystems, and people who depend on the ocean are affected by pollution, climate change, and habitat destruction.

Our
Solution

1

Our Drone

The solution is using high-tech, non-invasive aerial drones to safely collect real-time data, monitor wildlife, and patrol vast marine ecosystems efficiently.

2

What Does It Do?

It continuously scans the ocean from above, using high resolution and thermal cameras, to track animal health, map coral reefs, and transmit live location data to conservation teams to stop illegal fishing in real time.

3

How Does It Work?

i.

It flies along pre-set flight paths over target ocean areas using autonomous navigation and long-range battery power.

ii.

It captures detailed visual, thermal, and sensor data of marine life and habitats using high-resolution gimbal cameras.

iii.

It streams live coordinates and real-time analytical data directly to research teams and coastal patrol vessels.

My
Drone

Real Drone Part

Propeller

What does it do? Propellers help the drone to fly. The spinning blades generate lift and thrust, allowing the drone to hover, move, and maneuver precisely over ocean areas.

Real Drone Part

Sensor / Thermal Sensory

What does it do? The thermal sensor senses wildlife and corals. It detects heat signatures to identify marine life, map coral reefs, and spot warm-blooded wildlife or poachers even at night.

Section 05

How It
Helps

How Does the Drone Help?

The propeller gives the drone the lift and stability needed to hover silently over marine life and fight ocean winds, enabling sustained, precise surveillance missions over vast ocean areas.

How Does the Invented Feature Help?

Propellers give the drone the lift and stability needed to hover silently over marine life and fight ocean winds. Meanwhile, standard and thermal sensors allow it to map reefs, identify animal species, and spot warm-blooded wildlife or poachers even at night.

Why Is Our Drone Useful?

This drone is useful because it gives conservationists a fast, cost-effective, and non-invasive way to monitor vast ocean areas, track vulnerable marine wildlife without disturbing them, and instantly alert coastal patrols to illegal fishing and habitat destruction.

Additional Design Ideas

To expand its capabilities, the drone could also collect non-invasive DNA samples from whale spray, lower underwater microphones to detect illegal activity, and use AI to automatically identify and track specific marine species.

How he made it

  • Propeller
  • Sensor / Thermal Sensory
  1. Picked a problem worth solving

monitoring reefs and marine wildlife across ocean too vast for patrol boats to cover

  2. Specified the machine, part by part

Every part justified by the job it does.

  3. Had AI draw it, then built the site

Pictured with Gemini, written and built by him.

Shachin took on ocean and wildlife conservation, designed a drone that patrols the sea without disturbing it, and built this website — drone illustration and all — to explain the mission.
